Job Name: Petanque Court Location: Withyditch House Date: August 2015 Description: At Withyditch cottage Andrew had asked us to build him a Petanque Boules court in his garden. This was quite a tricky project as the area we were asked to build the court on was on a slope at the top of the garden. We started by grading the area with a mini digger to get the area level, we then bought in railway sleepers to build the frame of the court. All the sleepers were fitted together using steel rebar and we used an anchor system to tension the sleeper walls. After the court was built we bought in 14 tons of scalping and filled the court and compressed it using a wacker plate. The final step was to spread a half inch layer of stone dust for the playing area which was then compressed using a roller. We will return in the new year to landscape the area around the court.
